Boot Heel Bar was created after a clearance mishap at a “real” location… it was a scramble to finalize such a robust set in the short amount of time, however, our crew worked round the clock to make this a huge success for the producers. I touched every graphic and sign, from the neon to those liquor and beer labels.
This “Murder Board” was an odd request… a collage of seemingly random newspaper clippings, family photos, notes, and observations was created for this set. I was able to use the computer AND make a 3-D composition via “actual” cut and paste methods. A real “KILLER” portfolio piece. Lol.
I was tasked with coming up with some various “dust” covers for books that were to appear in a rustic cabin set where our character was hiding out. I had fun coming up with names and themes for our “lonesome” friend.
Maria Samora was looking to pair her amazing contemporary jewelry with a fresh branding campaign. Simplistic, stylish and beautiful.
Inspired by the lowrider culture of New Mexico and the Dayton Wire Wheels logo, Filter Skateboard Shop (RIP) and myself designed a collection that included a skateboard deck, T-shirt, hoodie, baseball cap, and a photo ‘zine.
Let Them Do was an art exhibit and community event to benefit Dream Tree Project, who offer a transitional living program and resources for young people in Taos County. Sponsored by Vans the artists were each given a pair of white “authentic” shoes to incorporate into their artworks.
Studio Stories was a editorial series for the Taos Gallery Guide, a tiny yearly publication done by The Taos News. I served as “one-man-band” on this particular issue, serving as Art Director, Designer, Photographer, and production slave all at once. Fun as hell though.
Back in 2018, Larry Bell was coming off an incredible year of shows and projects across the globe, and now he was to be showing these new works in his own backyard at the Harwood Museum in Taos, New Mexico, and he wanted the art world to know. He purchased a double page spread in local arts and culture magazine Trend, and a full page in International art magazine, ARTFORUM… on his own dime, a true legend.
Sweet Heart Label began as childhood dream to make clothing, in particular, T-shirts. Witty, thoughtful, and, yes, sexy T-shits… full of inside jokes, and inspiration from the pop-culture inescapable. Well, after a stint working at a local screen printing shop, I finally cut my teeth with apparel. Learning screen printing, embroidery, direct-to-film, everything… A personal passion project to share with my son and my skateboarding kin. More to come.
Many more examples available upon request… thanks for looking!
